The Coachmen Home Page
The sound of the Coachmen is one that was developed through decades of family music. Originally formed in the late 1960’s, the Coachmen name has been associated with quality music and entertainment for many years; however, it is the current group that brought the name to an expanded commercial market and to a new generation of listeners. Officially headquartered in Staunton, VA, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, the quartet includes the original harmony trio of Pete Campbell, Bob Campbell, and John Lane, in addition to a second generation member, Chris Campbell. Rich in family harmony, original instrumentation, and innovative songwriting, the Coachmen have built up a sizeable following with their Country/Americana influenced style of gospel music. While their vocal style is unquestionably original, the Coachmen also serve as their own band. The catchy piano and guitar background of Chris Campbell and John Lane provide the perfect compliment to the sound that has become their trademark. The group rounds out their live performances with their unique, sometimes “off-the-wall” humor, and their personal stories that leave audiences with more of an experience than they bargained. Within this site you will find MP3 music samples for every song, an online store, information about The Coachmen quartet and more about each of the group's members.
